Special Economic Zones

A- A A+

Special Economic Zones are organized in such a way so that they could be a flywheel of local economies. They will exist in present shape until 2020 offering entrepreneurs numerous tax, investment and infrastructure incentives depended on the type of their enterprise. Expenditure made by investors of the five economic zones in Eastern Poland were more than 15,75 mln PLN, which simultaneously created 49 thousands work places. It is connected with industrial traditions of the region as well as locating big institutions of specific trades that stimulate the inflow of new firms as sub-suppliers. In Eastern Poland’s zones the following trades are dominating: food, metal, machine, furniture, wood, motorization, ceramics and artificial products and transport services. If this process is continued one can suppose that the zones will become the origin of, for example, the future clusters in the region.
