Companies from the food sector coming from Eastern Poland will have an opportunity to promote their products at one of the most important international fairs Summer Fancy Food Show 2014 in New York. On the other hand, local government units from the Eastern Poland’s Macroregion will have a chance to participate in the Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai.
Summer Fancy Food Show 2014
As part of the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, entrepreneurs that have been registered and operating their business in the food sector for at least 18 months in one of the five voivodeships of Eastern Poland: Lubelskie, Podlaskie, Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie, have an opportunity of free promotion during the Summer Fancy Food Show 2014 in New York. The fairs will be held between 29 June and 1 July. This is the biggest trade event of this kind in the United States. The Summer Fancy Food Show comprises more than 180 thousand exhibited products, 2,400 exhibitors from around 80 countries, numerous guests visiting stands, cooking shows, workshops and lectures. Annual Investment Meeting
Each year, the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Dubai gathers representatives of more than 70 different countries from Asia, Africa, South America and Europe. National delegations often comprise ministers and deputy prime ministers. Several years ago representatives of companies and local government units of the Eastern Poland’s Macroregion started to attend the AIM.The AIM is something more than a three-day congress, as it involves B2B meetings, meetings of government representatives, exhibition of trade and investment offer or investment discussion panels. This year, the Annual Investment Meeting, to be held in Dubai between 8 and 10 April, can be attended by 5 representatives of Marshal’s Offices and 5 representatives of basic local government units (representing towns) from Eastern Poland. The Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, implemented by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency S.A. under Measure I.4 of the Operational Programme – Development of Eastern Poland, aims at continuous growth of economic competitiveness and attractiveness of this area. It is a promotion of five voivodeships of Eastern Poland’s Macroregion: Lubelskie, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie, Świętokrzyskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie. The main objective of the Programme is to arouse interest of potential investors in the economic offer of Eastern Poland and, thereby, to stimulate the social and economic development in this region. Promotional activities are targeted mainly at the European Union Member States, the USA, Russia, China, South Korea and at Persian Gulf countries. Strategic sectors of Eastern Poland include: food sector, wood processing and furniture making sector, BPO, yacht sector, aviation sector, chemical sector, machinery sector, business tourism sector, as well as sector of renewable sources of energy.
