Once again, lingerie and underwear companies from Eastern Poland have presented their offer at the Salon International de la Lingerie, a prestigious fashion trade show in Paris. Visitors appreciated the newest lingerie designs proposed by Polish exhibitors. Lingerie from Eastern Poland enjoys recognition that has been observed for many years and is reflected in numerous concluded contracts which amount to about PLN 8 million.
Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris is one of the most important events for lingerie and underwear sector in Europe. Producers of lingerie and underwear come here to present their newest collections and attract new clients. – The event is becoming more popular each year. Companies participating in the event can broaden the extent of their marketing activities and their presence at the trade show undoubtedly adds to their prestige. After having seen underwear shows many lingerie buyers decide to visit stands, which often results in new orders, saysMonika Gąsiorowska, the Director of the Bureau forEastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme (PAIiIZ – Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency).
Within the framework of the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, at the Salon International de la Lingerie 12 companies presented their offer at a joint stand: MAT, GORTEKS, GAIA, AVA, Kinga, Axami Line, Axami, BIG ART, FABIO UNDERWEAR, GRACYA (FUH Teresa Słonicz), MEVA FASHION, Vena Lingerie.
Each company had a chance to present one of its models during the main underwear and lingerie show prepared by the trade show organiser. A three-day trade show attracted several thousand visitors. – As it was the case last year, many people attended the trade show, while presented lingerie and underwear designs enjoyed recognition of visitors. Exhibitors were perfectly prepared for the trade show and they showed a lot of professionalism in dealing with clients. Thanks to their involvement, lingerie and underwear sector from Eastern Poland has had another chance to present its offer which meets the highest world standards, says Monika Gąsiorowska, the Director of the Bureau forEastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme (PAIiIZ – Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency).
Lingerie and underwear sector in Eastern Poland continues to grow. Since the beginning of the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, i.e. since January 2010, companies from this sector have already concluded 101 contracts. These contracts amount to about PLN 8 million. Entrepreneurs have invested in new production lines, factories and equipment and these investments amount to over PLN 4 million.
The participation in the Salon International de la Lingerie 2014 has been organised by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency and financed with the means from the European Regional Development Fund under the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, Operational Programme – Development of Eastern Poland, Measure I.4 Promotion and Cooperation.
The Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, implemented by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency S.A. under Measure I.4 of the Operational Programme – Development of Eastern Poland, aims at continuous growth of economic competitiveness and attractiveness of this area. It is a promotion of five voivodeships of Eastern Poland’s Macroregion: Lubelskie, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie, Świętokrzyskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie. The main objective of the Programme is to arouse interest of potential investors in the economic offer of Eastern Poland and, thereby, to stimulate the social and economic development in this region. Promotional activities are targeted mainly at the European Union Member States, the USA, Russia, China, South Korea and at Persian Gulf countries. Strategic sectors of Eastern Poland include: food sector, wood processing and furniture making sector, BPO, yacht sector, aviation sector, chemical sector, machinery sector, business tourism sector, as well as sector of renewable sources of energy.
