Barriers to the development of the aviation sector.

At the moment there are 970 licensed aircraft mechanics in Poland (with EU license PART 66). In the coming years 300 to 350 of them will retire. Unfortunately there is no one to replace them.

-Young people are not mentally prepared to work in this profession, are afraid to take the responsibility for their work – says Krzysztof Pawełek, CEO of the Royal Star Group. - But most of all, the whole education in the profession of aircraft mechanics takes place, unfortunately, in isolation from practice.

According to Krzysztof Pawełek, ministerial programme is to be blamed.

- The Ministry of Education should base the programme on similar European programmes, and make it more practice-oriented – he adds.
