The EU will co-finance further projects

The management of warmińsko-mazurskie voivodeship awarded another grant to projects in rural and rural-urban gminas. The money for the implementation of the ideas of local authorities and associations came from the Rural Development Programme.

- We are on the eve of negotiations with the European Commission concerning the next edition of the regional operational programme, but that does not mean that we stopped co-financing projects using the funds that are still at our disposal - says marshal Jacek Protas. – We are contracting the last free funds both from our ROP and from Rural Development Programme. Additional competitions for beneficiaries will soon be announced by local action groups that are financed from the Rural Development Programme.

The gmina of Jonkoworeceived PLN 410 thousand for the execution of two tasks: construction of a leisure complex in Jonkowo and multifunctional sports field at the Primary School in Wrzesina. Funding for the construction of the sewer system with connections in the villages of Kisiny and Kurki will be awarded to the gmina of Działdowo. Residents of Długobór in the gmina of Płoskinia will certainly be happy to hear that a new water supply system will be built also in their village. The project received over PLN 288 thousand.

In turn,PLN 1 million and more than PLN 900 thousand will go to Bisztynek and Ryn, respectively. The money will enable the reconstruction and renovation of urban markets. Thanks to the support of the self-government, local cultural events will take place in Ryn that will allow its residents and tourists to learn more about the tradition and cultural heritage of the region. Ryńskie Cultural Centre has received almost PLN 37 thousand for this purpose. EU funds were also granted to the gmina of Iława which wants to rebuild the village common room in Dziarny.

Importantinvestment will be made also in the gmina of Purda. Nearly PLN 21 thousand will be spent on building a ramp for disabled persons in the building of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre. However, for the young generation the gmina of Dobre Miasto created an educational path in the local parish museum. For this purpose a local association received PLN 25 thousand.
