On 16-20 June 2013, ten companies from Eastern Poland Macroregion representing aviation industry took part in economic mission that included participation in the Paris Paris Air Show 2013.
The entrepreneurs representing Eastern Poland’s aviation industry who visited Paris in order to participate in the air show had the opportunity to establish direct contacts with the main business partners of the event.
Taking place every two years at the Paris’ Le Bourget airport, the Paris Air Show (Salon International de l’Aeronautique et de l’Espace) is – along with the Berlin Air Show and the Farnborough Air Show – one of the most important trade shows for the aerospace industry in Europe.
The exhibitors represented the world’s leading aerospace companies, such as: Bombardier, Pratt&Whitney, EADS, Safran and many other companies, institutions and industry associations. The strongest players to come across during the trades were the Americans, Canadians, French, Russians, Japanese and Italians. Companies were showcasing their best in four halls while different types of aircrafts were on display on the Le Bourget’s airstrip. Additionally, every day the airplanes were putting on spectacular flying displays. The air show brings together all kinds of business connected with aerospace industry: suppliers of aircraft spare parts, specialised technical solutions, materials for aeronautics and services – for both civil and defence aviation.
The potential of Polish aviation industry was also displayed by the Aviation Valley Association, the City Hall of Rzeszów and the Marshall Office of the Podkarpackie Province, who organised together a promotional stand showcasing the region and the Aviation Valley.
On 17 June, Polish companies participated in Australian-Polish Business Matching that took place in the Australian stand. It was a unique opportunity to meet the representatives of aerospace companies from Australia, share the experience and compare how such two geographically distant markets function.
Furthermore, on 21 June, the companies from Eastern Poland met with Dariusz Bogdan, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, who was visiting the Paris Air Show.
Ten companies took part in the economic mission: REMOG Polska, WALDREX, Air Magic and Metrol from Mielec, Ultratech from Sędziszów Małopolski, Royal-Star from Dębica, Parasnake from Kielce, AIR RES Aviation from Jasionka and Norbert Polska S.A., and CAV Aerospace Limited Sp. z o.o. from Rzeszów.
