Opening retail outlets around Poland, organising Meva Fasion Shows and increasing the export – those are the immediate plans of Biłgoraj’s Meva Fasion.
“Our offer includes private labels such as Mewa or John Bradley, addressed at both men and women. We also have a highly specialised machine park that allows us to manufacture our own fabrics”, says Przemysław Pstrusiński, president of Meva Fasion. “Having such a potential, we want to expand export and our presence in Poland.”
This year, for the first time, Meva wants to open two retail outlets: in Lublin and in Łódź. “Our target is 10-15 lingerie stores. We also plan to launch yearly Meva Fashion Shows in Łódź,” announces Pstrusiński.
Meva Fashion continues the tradition of Biłgoraj’s Mewa, a famous lingerie producer. In 1960s, Mewa was a national company (at the time it hired ca. 4,500 people), in 1991, it was transformed into joint-stock company. Since 2007, it has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
“We have been through some difficult, crisis time. The last year ended with a loss of 1 million złoty. But we do our best to improve it. We lowered the costs and keep improving profitability. We want to end this year with a slighter loss, which so far reached 300,000 złoty,” adds the president.
