Entrepreneurs from Eastern Poland at International Food Fair

20 entrepreneurs from Eastern Poland Macroregion representing food sector participated in Summer Fancy Food fairs.

The fair was held in Washington from 17 to 19 June 2012. Eastern Poland was represented by 20 entrepreneurs, who at the common almost 140-meters regional stand presented their products and trade offer.

Among entrepreneurs from Eastern Poland were companies from dairy sector, pasta, honey and mead producers, fruit and vegetables producers, meat sector companies and companies producing frozen food.

At the Eastern Poland stand were held live cooking shows every day, they were done by well-known Polish chef – Adam Chrząstowski, while them typical dishes for the Macroregion were presented and tasted. The promotional effect was strengthened by the live bartender’s shows performed by well-known bartender – Tomasz Małek.

The Eastern Poland stand at the Summer Fancy Food Fairs was visited by the Undersecretary of State Mrs. Beata Stelmach from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the fairs took part the delegations from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with the representatives of the management, the Agriculture Market Agency and the Union of Producers and Employers of the Meat Industry. It was the first so significant delegation representing Polish food producers at the food fairs in the USA.

Common Eastern Poland stand

Apart from the presence at the fair Polish delegations organised the press conference concerning the potential of Polish food sector and the “Polish soirée”. During the soirée, Polish cuisine as well as Polish music were presented – mini recital was performed by the string duo – VioLazies. The soirée was the great opportunity to start business contacts.

Participation at the fair was organised by PAIiIZ (Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency) within Promotion, Development of Eastern Poland Operational Programme, Measure I.4 Promotion and Co-operation.
