Last week self-governments and Special Economic Zones representatives from Eastern Poland visited France on economic mission. The delegation presented the Macroregion’s investment potential and offers addressed at French business partners.
Representatives of Polish institutions responsible for attracting foreign investments had the chance to meet with Jean Fixot, owner of CHIMIREC DEVELOPMENT, a company specialising in hazardous waste disposal. The company already has one facility in Poland and wants to expand the business into other provinces. Another meeting was with David-Andree Azoulay, General Director of GEORGE V GROUP, which specialises in developing high-potential international projects, e.g. relating to renewable energy and property sector.
Examining a model construction and renovation of 12 middle schools, the participants had the opportunity to analyse how self-governmental projects relating to science and culture are funded under public-private partnership (PPP). And so was the subject of the meetings with representatives of Strategy and Technical Resources Department in the Seine Saint Denis Department Council and in the French Club of Public-Private Partnership.
The last day was dedicated to a conference on the investment attractiveness of Eastern Poland and B2B meetings between the mission participants and French companies that were represented in great numbers by French entrepreneurs.
The mission turned out to be a perfect opportunity for meetings, experience sharing and initiating business relations that may develop into some serious works for investment projects in Eastern Poland in the future.
The mission has been organised under the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, Measure I.4 Promotion and Cooperation of the Development of Eastern Poland Operational Programme. (PAIiIZ)
