20 food producers from Eastern Poland presented their offer in Cologne at the joint regional stand during the largest food fair in the world – ANUGA 2013.
For the second time producers from Eastern Poland were given the opportunity to apply for co-financing of their participation in the fair under the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme. As in the previous edition, many entrepreneurs expressed their interest and the number of applicants largely exceeded the limit of 20 companies which could receive support for the lease of space and construction of the stand, as well as financing of travel and accommodation in Cologne.
Most participants have visited the Cologne fair before. Some of them presented their offer individually last year, some came as visitors. Polish mayonnaise, food preserves, frozen goods and regional beers raised relatively the greatest interest among the new visitors to the stand.
It is worth mentioning that most visitors come from outside Germany and Europe. Some of them visited the Eastern Poland’s stand specifically seeking concrete brands and suppliers from Poland.
The ANUGA fair is the largest platform for exchanging business contacts for the food sector in the world. This year, the fair joined together over 6700 exhibitors and more than 155,000 visitors from 187 countries. (Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency)
