Delegation representing Eastern Poland takes part in the SSOW Conference in Prague

Held on 21-23 May, the “13th Annual Shared Services & Outsourcing Week” Conference brought to Prague many specialists in shared services and outsourcing.

The event was attended by self-government officials representing the provinces of Eastern Poland. 

The 13th Annual European Shared Services & Outsourcing Week is a leading European forum with training and networking opportunities for professionals specialising in shared services and outsourcing as well as IT procurements, HR and finances. The Conference was attended by ca. 500 representatives of numerous regions and companies from Europe, USA, Canada, Latin America, Asia and North Africa. It offered many program sessions, debates, seminars, discussions and individual meetings.

Delegation representing Eastern Poland (Bialystok, Kielce, Lublin, Olsztyn and Rzeszow) presented the economic and investment potential of the macroregion, particularly relating to BPO and SSC. Participation in the conference was an opportunity to establish new contacts with potential investors interested in starting businesses in the capital cities of Eastern Poland provinces. It was also an occasion to share experience and good practices concerning investor support, preparing investment offers and how to win new foreign investments.

Recently, Poland and the five eastern regions have been very popular among foreign investors interested in BPO sector. Their main strengths include: available highly qualified workforce that speaks foreign languages, competitive labour costs, easy rental of a high-class office space, investment incentives, high level of ICT and transport infrastructure development.

The journey and the conference participation was funded by the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme carried out by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ).
